Lisa Elliott

Lisa Elliott was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. She had an unquenchable longing to know Christ from a young age and accepted Jesus as her Saviour at camp when she was 15 years old.
  Lisa graduated from Ontario Bible College (Tyndale), where she also met her pastor husband, David. They have served the Lord faithfully for over 25 years, presently in Stratford, Ontario, and together have raised four children.
  Lisa’s love for the Lord is contagious, and her passion to share the life-changing truths and principles of God’s Word is inspiring. Her ever-extending speaking ministry, “Straight from the Heart,” has touched the lives of men and women alike at conferences, retreats and special events. She has addressed such topics as overcoming inadequacy, waiting on God, setting godly priorities, and lifestyle evangelism, as well as other topics of interest.
On August 19, 2009, Lisa experienced every mother’s worst nightmare, the death of her 19-year-old son, Ben, after an intense year-long battle with leukemia. She has made her mess her message, giving purpose to her pain by vulnerably sharing some of the lessons she learned along the way, including “7 BENefits of the Journey,” “Learning to Live Life in the Moment,” “What to Do When Jesus Shows Up Too Late,” and “What NOT to Do to Help Someone in Crisis.”
  Lisa is presently in the process of publishing her story of her journey after being strongly encouraged by many who have been following it via a Facebook page entitled “Prayer for Benjamin Elliott,” now entitled “The Ben Ripple.”
