Ruth Bauman

Ruth Bauman-Wight, a former teacher librarian, has been speaking to women for over thirty years. Under the name, Ruth Rebecca Ministries, she has traveled across Canada to speak at conferences, retreats and seminars. She has ministered at Muskoka Bible Conference, Elim Lodge, Fair Havens and has traveled with the Feb Central Women Unlimited team. She has served as a speaker for Women Alive, ministered on their National Leadership Team and for several years filled the role of Ontario Director. Ruth has designed a sixteen week DVD seminar series called,” The Vibrant Woman - In Touch with Life” which has been used for small groups and churches across the country. She has recently completed another series for group studies called “Our Path, His Plan, His Purpose” and these will be available this spring on CD with an accompanying study guide.

Ruth committed her life to the Lord as a teenager and has maintained a deep hunger
for God and the desire to make Him known. She loves to connect with women of all
ages and embraces with joy the privilege of speaking truth and encouragement into
their lives.

Ruth is a mother of two married daughters and a delighted grandmother. Twice
widowed, she has experienced the comfort and faithfulness of God. In 2008, she
married Mel Code and they are actively involved in their congregation of Benton Street Baptist Church; Mel as an elder and Ruth as Coordinator of Women’s Ministries. Ruth
also leads a group of young married women and has designed a series for them called, “Foundations of Life”

Mel and Ruth make their home in St. Jacobs and with a mutual desire for extending hospitality, they have prepared a guest suite in their new home for pastors, wives and missionaries and for all those who need to draw aside to rest.
