Ruth Edwards

Ruth Edwards was raised in Toronto, ministered in northern Ontario and now resides in Oshawa. She was fortunate to be raised in a godly home and into a generational believing family. She is a graduate of Central Baptist Seminary with a BRE and a Mrs.! Along with her husband she served the Lord in Toronto at High Park Baptist Church and in northern Ontario for 14 yrs at Thornloe Crossroads Baptist Church. Seven years ago the Lord led them to Calvary Baptist in Oshawa, where they are privileged to serve.

Ruth has been blessed to teach God's Word for more than 30 years. Her favorite subjects are Teacher Training, Old Testament surveys ['Do you REALLY understand the OT!!!], Drama and Public Speaking. Her favorite groups to speak to are teachers, seniors and children, bringing passion and new resources to each of these groups. Presently, she is teaching children at Calvary Baptist both in a volunteer and paid position.

During the summer of 2010 she started a new senior’s education program with the city of Oshawa teaching church history and drama. She also teaches vocal music and piano privately. In the recent past, she gave practical instruction in worship at Toronto Baptist Seminary, and has taught at, led and planned several “Day-Away” Conferences for women at TBS.
