Wendy Farha

Wendy Farha is a singer, songwriter, musician, comedian, inspirational speaker and Bible teacher. In 1978, at 18 years old, she surrendered her life to Christ and immediately began composing beautiful songs about her newfound faith.

Wendy was soon singing in churches and coffeehouses around her native Montreal, where she still lives today. Since then, she has sung those songs in virtually hundreds of settings. She is a passionate evangelist who is continually motivating others to reach the lost. Wendy travels from city to city in Canada, organizing and performing in concerts, comedy events, Ladies' Nights Out, and Family Nights which are all intentionally designed to appeal to the unchurched as well as to the family of God. Working alongside local churches, she helps promote these events to reach their communities for Christ.

Wendy has more than 30 years experience in a wide variety of settings: churches, concert halls, hospices, prisons, youth groups, and Bible studies. She ministers at ladies' breakfasts, fundraisers, retreats, evangelistic and outreach events, pastoral appreciation banquets, Sunday services, etc. She teaches workshops on Knowing Who We Are In Christ, Overcoming Emotional Damage, Living a Victorious Christian LIfe, Finding Your Place: Discovering New Avenues of Ministry, and Disappointment With God - Overcoming Adversity in Times of Crisis.

In August of 2009, Wendy was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. In the following year and a half, she underwent 5 surgeries plus several months of chemo, radiation and associated treatments. Wendy decided to allow God to use her adversity for His glory and went public with her story, inspiring others with her contagious optimism and her hilarious comedic take on life. She recently received a clean bill of health and is enjoying renewed energy to move forward in ministry.
